What is the Trezor® Hardware Wallet?
The Trezor® Hardware Wallet is a physical device designed to keep your private keys offline and safe from online threats. It acts as a dedicated signer for transactions: private keys never leave the device. This reduces the risk of malware, phishing or remote compromise while giving you full control of your crypto assets.
Setting up your Trezor® — quick start
Begin at the official onboarding page: trezor.io/start. Download the Trezor Suite App (desktop or web) from trezor.io/trezor-suite, follow the step-by-step initialization, write down your recovery seed on paper (or a certified backup product), and set a PIN.
Trezor Suite App, Bridge & Downloads
Trezor® devices are managed through the Trezor Suite App — available as a desktop app and a web app. Visit the Trezor Suite page for the Trezor Suite Download and mobile versions. Historically Trezor also used a small helper service called Trezor Bridge; see the official guidance for Trezor Suite and current notes on the Trezor Bridge lifecycle.
Troubleshooting common login & connection issues
If you experience Trezor login not working or Unable to login Trezor, try these first steps:
- Make sure your device firmware is up to date via Trezor Suite and that the Suite version matches the OS installer. See trezor.io/start.
- Use a different USB cable or port, and avoid hubs. If you previously installed a standalone Bridge, follow the official uninstall/upgrade instructions before installing Suite. (See the Bridge deprecation guide.)
- Clear browser caches, or use the Trezor Suite desktop app if web connection fails.
- If you see “Error Connecting Trezor Account” or “Can't verify Trezor Wallet”, confirm the device model on-screen and approve actions directly on the device display.
Account recovery & security
If you need Trezor Account Recovery, use your recovery seed and follow instructions in Trezor Suite. Trezor does not hold your seed — only you can recover funds. There is no central "2fa reset" — if you rely on software two-factor measures, reset them through the services you connected to and use your Trezor seed to regain access to crypto accounts.
When to contact Trezor Help Center
For persistent problems (device not recognized after basic troubleshooting, suspected hardware fault, or transaction verification errors), consult the Trezor Help Center and FAQs. The Help Center contains guides on Trezor 2fa reset approaches, firmware issues, and how to safely proceed with account recovery.
